Bald Eagles Lay 3rd Egg In Nest In Avon Lake: Watch

Stars and Stripes, the bald eagles that nest outside of an Avon Lake school, welcomed their third egg this season on Sunday.

AVON LAKE, OH — There are now three eggs in Stars and Stripe's nest in Avon Lake.

Stars and Stripes are two bald eagles that have nested outside of Redwood Elementary School for years. The Avon Lake Schools set up a livestream system that broadcasts from above the eagle's nest for birdwatchers.

The two adult bald eagles laid eggs on Feb. 28 and March 3. The third egg was spotted in the nest at 7:10 p.m. on Sunday.

Birdwatchers and supporters of all things cute can drop in and watch Stars and Stripes and their budding eagle family via a YouTube livestream that runs all day, every day.

Last year, three baby bald eagles hatched around Easter in the nest.
