Chris Luick hit a two-run homer in the second inning to put the Crushers on top, 2-0, the team reported. He drove in another run in the eigth inning on a sacrifice fly.

Andrew Davis had two hits, including a solo home run, and two RBI for the Crushers. Evan Sharpley had two hits and scored a run.

Eric Gonzalez-Diaz (1-0, 1.80) won in his Crushers debut. He pitched five innings, giving up one run on three hits while striking out six and walking four.

The Crushers are hitting the road, opening up a series at the Evansville Otters on Friday.  Thomas Campbell (3-0, 1.84) is slated to start for the Crushers. Game time is 7:35 p.m.
