🌱City of Avon Looking To Fill Position + Booster Club Gets Support

Here are the top three stories today in Avon-Avon Lake:

1. Looking for a new job? Look no further than the city of Avon, which is seeking a part-time payroll clerk to perform administrative and routine tasks in order to process the city payroll including all related deductions, contributions and other payments. All necessary pre-employment screenings must be successfully passed, which include a BCI background check. Candidates must be able to work 25-28 hours per week. Online applications with a cover letter and resume must be submitted to city of Avon via www.cityofavon.com/employment. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled."(City Of Avon)
2. After two years of research and work, the Avon Lake Business Navigation Ad Hoc Committee has released its findings. According to the Morning Journal article, "Marty O’Donnell, a member of the Business Committee and chairman of Avon Lake City Council’s Finance Committee said, “We had a couple of businesses that wanted to start a business and build a business and go through the process. There was a lot of fragmentation and they weren’t sure who to contact as they went through the process, and they didn’t get all the information they needed before they put a shovel in the ground.” The process will reportedly be more streamlined moving forward.” (The Morning Journal)
3. The Avon Lake Booster Club is so lucky to have the support of many Avon Lake establishments! According to a Booster Club Facebook post, "Big M, Dogg House, Caslon, Game On, Old School, Close Quarters, and Third Base are all helping promote Beer Fest 2022 by featuring the promotional coasters.
