🌱City Of Avon Looking For IT Professional + Beer Fest This Weekend

Here are the top three stories today in Avon-Avon Lake:

1. The City of Avon Information Technology department is looking for a permanent part-time IT technician. According to the town's website, "Knowledge of client and server operating systems, Microsoft Office, computer networking and Cisco switch configuration is preferred. The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to providing technical support, install, configure, maintain hardware and software components, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, create and maintain documentation and maintain hardware inventory. Any CompTIA certification or related fields with the equivalent experience which provide the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions is preferred. The successful candidate must be able to multitask, have excellent customer service and communication skills, and be able to work up to 28 hours per week. Compensation will be based on experience with a range of $16 to $20 per hour. A valid Ohio Driver’s license with a clean record and the ability to pass all routine background checks including a drug screening is a must. 3. Don't forget, Beer Fest 2022 is this weekend! The event will take place on August 27, from 1 - 7 p.m. at Miller Road Park. It will once again feature live musical performances all day and more than 60 different local and regional craft beers and wines from some of our area’s most popular breweries and wineries like Great Lakes Brewing Company, Thirsty Dog, Rhinegeist, Saucy Brew Works, Southern Tier, Fat Heads, Brew Kettle, Catawba Island, Destihl Brewery, DuClaw, Goldhorn, Millersburg, Rusty Rail, Sibling Revelry, Voodoo, Wild Ohio and more!
