Council Approves Fund for Storm Water Drain Improvement

Money to come from future development

Avon approved Monday night a special fund for storm water drain improvement projects around the city.

Bill Logan said that the fund has to be approved by the state auditor's office before it can be created. With the council's approval, he said, he can submit for state approval and, if all goes well, get that approval within two weeks.

Money for the fund will come from fees for future building and development in the city, Logan said. None will come from the city's general fund.
