Download your school's supply list and head to the store to take advantage of Ohio's tax holiday this weekend.
Back-to-school shoppers will get a break this weekend. Ohio's sales tax holiday begins on Friday, August 5 at 12:00 a.m. and runs until Sunday, August 7 at 11:59 p.m. The tax exemption applies to clothing and footwear up to $75 per item and school supplies and instructional materials up to $20 per item.
Items used in a trade or business, however, are not exempt under the sales tax holiday. A list of all eligible items and answers to frequently asked questions can be found online at www.tax.ohio.gov Ohio Sales Tax Holiday FAQ's page.

TROY INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
Grade 5 Supply ListDear Troy Families:
On the first day of the new school year, which will be August 23rd, all students will report to their newly assigned classrooms.
Students may pick up their schedules on August 17th between 5:00 and 6:30pm. Supplies may be dropped off at their lockers on August 23rd between 4:00 and 5:30pm. To help you prepare for school in the fall and to take advantage of summer sales, the necessary supplies for grade 5 are listed below:
2 colored ball point pens (other than blue/ black) 1 fine and 1 extra fine point black Sharpie markers
Box of crayons (box of 24, no larger) Glue sticks (6 lrg. or 12 sm. or more)
Scissors, pointed Minimum of 24 #2 sharpened pencils
4 Composition Notebooks (100+ pages) 12 inch ruler with inches and centimeters
Eraser Water-based markers
Colored pencils Pencil pouch with 3 ring binder holes
Tissues (2 boxes), for classroom use Gym shoes (to be left at school)
3x3 Sticky notes (2 packs) Paint shirt for art (one of dad’s old ones will do)
Dry Erase markers (2-3) Art box large enough to hold all art supplies but fits in
Hand held sharpener with reservoir for shavings desk or locker
Index cards (1 pack, 3.5 x 5) Earbuds/headphones
School bag/back pack-must fit in 3-Prong paper folder and new pencil for Music Class
locker (NO ROLLER BAGS)
*Individual classroom teachers/teams will supply additional lists prior to or after the start of school.

Highlighters (at least 4 assorted colors) Paint shirt for art (an old one will do)
Loose-leaf notebook paper, 3-ring/wide Red ballpoint pens
ruled (200 or more sheets) Blue or black ballpoint pens
Ultra-fine line permanent markers (2) 1 inch 3 ring binder for L.Arts + 5 tab dividers
Package of hole reinforcements 1 inch 3 ring binder with pockets for SS/Science + 2 dividers
3 Composition Notebooks (100+ pages) Package of 3x5 rulled white index cards
School bag/back pack-must fit in Earbuds/headphone in ziplock bag with name
locker (NO ROLLER BAGS) Locker organizing shelf (optional)
Girls Only: Disinfecting Wipes Boys Only: Hand Sanitizer
At the beginning of the school year, individual teachers may require additional supplies.
