Driver Hospitalized After Striking Avon Police Cruiser
Erratic driving was reported by witnesses to Avon police.
An 83-year-old woman was taken to the Avon Emergency Care Center after colliding with an Avon Police cruiser while driving the wrong way on Detroit Road near Colorado Avenue, according to cleveland.com.
Her erratic driving was reported by witnesses and Avon police found her driving eastbound in the westbound lanes.
The cruiser she hit had its lights and sirens on. The accident is under investigation.
