Eagles Go Red for Chardon

Avon High School students wear red to show support for Chardon High students

principal Kristina Dobos Buller was perplexed when she walked out into the hallways Tuesday morning and saw a sea of red. She asked a student what was going on.

"Go red for Chardon," the student said.

The word began spreading Monday night on Twitter. #goredforchardon was the most commonly seen hashtag.

The idea was to wear red to show support for Chardon High School students and the Chardon community.

It was an organic movement not directed by any school official or any parent. It was something the students just did. Buller estimates at least half the Avon students were wearing something red on Tuesday.
