In the elections for , he at-large race had challenger  and incumbents ,  and  competing for the three open spots. Zegarac was the top vote-getter with 3,792 votes (29.43 percent), followed by Witherspoon (3,704 votes), Pelfrey (3,551) and Yonchak (1,838)Â
The Ward 1 race saw incumbent Bryan Jensen defeated challengers ,  and . With 100 percent of the vote in, Jensen finished with 864 votes, 45.16 percent of the votes.Â

Incumbent  defeated challenger  in Ward 4 by a wide margin, 1,056-474. Harrison entered the race in August after  of the  in July. The district announced at the time that she was relocating to Oklahoma.
 in Ward 2 and  in Ward 3 ran unopposed in their elections.
, who was appointed to Avon Local Schools in August, defeated challenger  in the race for the seat.
Mahoney won with 3,530 votes, 63 percent of the vote.Â
Mahoney was  to fill the open spot after board president Susan Harrison. Mahoney is a former president of Avon Early Childhood PTA.
Incumbent board members , who has been acting president since Harrison's resignation, and  won their unchallenged races.
, a charter amendment regulating residential lot sizes in future subdivisions, won easily.
Issue 8, the levy to build a new Avon Middle School, and , the levy for Lorain County Joint Vocational Services, were defeated. The proposed also lost.
