Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio

Chicks Against Hunger 2010 food drive raised over one ton of food (2,174 pounds to be exact) for Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio. Our goal this year is to collect two tons of food! Join us on Sunday, Aug. 14 from noon till 3 p.m. and bring your non-perishable food items to help those families in need right in our area at The Retirement People, 37271 Colorado Ave. in Avon.

Second Harvest’s mission is to reduce hunger by gathering and providing resources to hunger-relief organizations serving individuals and families in Crawford, Erie, Huron and Lorain Counties.

 Chicks Against Hunger will provide cooperative food drives collecting food and other essential supplies for local agencies helping families in Northeast Ohio. In our rich nation, no one should go hungry.
