AVON LAKE, OH — A group of families are considering suing the Avon Lake Schools over a newly reinstituted mask mandate for students.
The return of mask mandates in the district was announced on Dec. 30, 2021. Students and staff in preschool through 12th grade will be required to wear masks while in the Avon Lake Schools, the policy said.
Masks must also be worn during after-school events. The mask policy will remain in effect through at least Jan. 28 before it is reevaluated.
