Father Lead Suspect In Possible Murder-Suicide In Avon Lake: PD

Police believe an Avon Lake man killed his wife, two children, a family dog and then himself on Tuesday.

AVON LAKE, OH — Investigators believe an Avon Lake husband killed his wife, two children, a family dog and then himself on Tuesday.

While investigators continue to process all of the evidence, Jeffrey Hull is "strongly suspected" of killing his family and then himself, according to Lt. Sean Bockelman of Avon Lake police.

Jeffrey Hull, 50, and Heidi Hull, 47, were found dead inside their English Turn Drive home on Tuesday, alongside their two dead children Garrett Hull, 9, and Grant Hull, 6. All four had been shot, police said. One of the two family dogs was also shot and killed.

Jeffrey and Heidi were married and Garrett and Grant were their children, Bockelman told Patch.

The bodies of all four Hulls were found inside the house at 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers discovered the incident after being asked to check on the family.

The Lorain County Coroner's office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are helping Avon Lake police with the investigation.
