Flood Warning Issued Through Early Monday Morning

Keep an eye on those basements!

The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Lorain County through 12:45 a.m. Monday.

At 7 p.m. Sunday, heavy rain was moving into the area. That rain, combined with rain from earlier showers and thunderstorms on Sunday, will cause flooding.

Ditches and low-lying areas will be the first to flood, but creeks and streams could also overflow their banks.

Street flooding is also possible. Don't drive on roads that are water-covered.

But after Sunday night's rain, we return to the insanely glorious weather we've been having recently. Monday will be sunny, with a high of 73 degrees. Tuesday will also be sunny, with a high of -- wow! -- 79.
