Happy 200th Avon! Bicentennial Logo Sought for 2014 Celebration
City looking for logo for banners, T-shirts, stationery

Are you an Avon artist? Love history? Avon is be celebrating its bicentennial in 2014 and is now planning for the celebration.
The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a logo that will be used to celebrate and advertise the event. The logo will be used as a big banner and on T-shirts, buttons, stationery, etc. The logo must include “Avon”, “200” and “1814 2014.”
Those interested should submit an 8 X 10 design via email to sberes@cityofavon.com by April 18.

Entries should include the designer’s Include your name, email and phone number.
The logo will be voted on by bicentennial committee members at the April 23, 2013 meeting.

Avon Parks and Recreation Department Director Diane Corrao said the city has set up a bicentennial link on the city website. The bicentennial committee held its first meeting Feb. 20 at the historic Avon Isle. Those interested in helping out with the city’s 200th birthday can contact Corrao at dcorrao@cityofavon.com.
