Holy Trinity Student a Winner in Fantasy Writing Contest

Claire Dillon of Holy Trinity School in Avon was a winner in Magnificat High School's third annual Seventh Grade Fantasy Creative Writing Contest.

Dillon, an Avon resident, submitted a poem called Rapunzel, Rapunzel, which won the category of Best Overall Poem. Twenty-three seventh-grade girls participated in the writing contest, and five were chosen as winners.

All participants were recently honored at a reception at the Magnificat High School with the winners receiving prizes and certificates. Magnificat students in the Science Fiction & Fantasy creative writing classes judged the submissions.
