Not every kid gets an athletic scholarship

As soon as your child is born, the clock is ticking.
Eighteen years can seem so long at first, but can go by so fast. And, after those 18 years are done, if all goes well, your child will be graduating and making decisions about his or her future.
College could be a part of their plans. And you have 18 years to save for that.

According to College Board, in-state public college tuition rose 8.3 percent in the 2011-12 academic year over 2010-11, to an average of $8,244. Tuition at private, non-profit colleges averages $28,500 in 2011-12, an increase of 4.5 percent over 2010-11.
And that doesn't include room and board, books, activity fees, transportation, pizza money, etc.Â

While there are scholarships out there, not every child is going to get a scholarship. Athletic scholarships are almost impossible to get and are rarely a full ride.
