Jeanette K. Scrimgeour, Former Librarian

Jeanette K. Scrimgeour (nee Rudinsky), 76 of Avon Lake, passed away at home on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012. Jeanette was born in Montreal, Canada on Oct. 15, 1935.

She received her Associates Degree from McGill University in Montreal and worked as a librarian for the Canadian Broadcasting Company. She enjoyed gardening, golfing and cooking.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Mark K. (Rena) of Charlotte, NC, Richard J. (Beth) of Charlotte, NC, and Caroline J. Rotz (Rob) of Avon Lake; six grandchildren, Emma, Evan, Logan, Garrett, Joseph and Larinda; sister Christine Casselman (Stephen) of Toronto. She is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard C.; her parents John and Catherine Rudinsky (nee Stechlinski); and sister Ann Smarzik.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19 at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Road, Avon Lake with Father Timothy O'Connor presiding.
