Crushers inching closer to .500 in final week before All-Star Break

Josh Roberts and Ruben Flores teamed up to hold the Gateway Grizzlies to one run on three hits, as the won, 4-1, Wednesday night in Sauget, Ill.
According to a report from the team, Roberts (4-3, 3.75 earned run average) pitched seven innings, giving up a run in the first. Flores pitched two innings, giving up no runs or hits, striking out three in getting his seventh save of the season.
Patrick Norris broke a 1-1 tie with a two-run hit in the eighth inning. The Crushers got another run in the ninth on an RBI single by Joel Collins.

The Crushers (20-24) finish the series at Gateway with an 8:05 p.m. Thursday. Jairo Cuevas (1-2, 5.40) is set to start for the Crushers.
