
The traded pitcher Josh Roberts on Thursday to the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks of the American Association for two players.
Roberts, a right-hander, had been in the Crushers' starting rotation the last two seasons. He was 10-6 in 2011 with a 3.97 earned run average.
Crushers manager John Massarelli said in a statement that Roberts had aged out of the Frontier League, necessitating a trade.

"Josh was our ace for two seasons and we will miss his work ethic, competitiveness and professionalism that he brought to our pitching staff. He will be hard to replace," Massarelli said.
In return, the Crushers get right-handed pitcher Trevor Longfellow, who was 2-2 with a 4.00 earned run average for the RedHawks in 2011, and infielder Donald Blunt.
