Levin Furniture held its official grand opening ceremony at its Friday afternoon.
The store fills a space left vacant since Linens-N-Things closed in 2008.
Levin Furniture president Robert Levin, other company officials, and were on hand for the celebration, which included a ribbon-cutting.

Stephanie Gould of Avon came to check out bookcases.
"I've shopped Levin before and I like them," she said. "They're good to have here in town. I like what I've seen so far, so I think I'll be back."

The store currently employs 28 people, said regional manager Brian Violi, about half of them being new hires and half being employees transferred into Avon from other Levin stores.
There are still openings for both full- and part-time positions such as sales and stock work.
