A light tower at toppled sometime overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
The tower, located on the southwest side of the stadium, fell onto the Picnic Plaza, located in an elevated area behind the right field seats, crushing a railing and landing on several tables and chairs.
Winds had been forecast to gust as high as 40 miles an hour last Wednesday into Thursday. vice president of business operations Daniel Helm told the Chronicle-Telegram they were checking to see how high the wind gusts had gotten.

The stadium, which opened in 2009, is owned by the City of Avon. A damage estimate was not available Thursday.
