Linda Jean Tennant, 64

Linda Jean Tennant (nee Pecora), 64, passed away peacefully July 14. She was born on Nov. 19, 1947.

She was surrounded by her adoring family, including her devoted husband of 44 years, Richard Tennant.

The Avon Lake resident leaves behind three daughters, Margo Kaye Moore (Stephen), Hallie Irene Tennant, and Nichole Samone Pruitt (Russell), and one son, Richard Harold Tennant Jr. (Tina).

Linda was the dear grandmother "Nana Tennant" to Mason Blasik, Jacob Chafin, Katherine Marra Blasik, Samuel Chafin, Cassy Tennant, Anna Chafin, Nathan Tennant, Stephen Moore Jr., Richard "Butchie" Tennant III, and Gavin Alexander.

She was the loving sister to Samuel "Brother" Pecora (James Case), Gail Hilko (Robert), Ronald "Poncho" Pecora (Sally) and Mary Frances Carrero. She was preceded in death by her sister Maxine Buga (Joseph).

Linda is survived by four nieces that she loved like her own daughters; Kathy Kerecz, Terri Griffore, Vicky Hilko, and Kelly Hilko, and six nephews; Eddie Rangus, Charles Bartlett, Robert "Bobby" Hilko, Ronald Pecora, Jason Pecora, and Sean Buga.

Linda also leaves her caring father-in-law Roberto Carrero, and dear family friend Dawn Barker Pruitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Edith Pecora, and her cherished best friend, Delores Hayden.

Linda was born and raised in Lorain where she was a member of St. Peter's Church. She loved living on Lake Erie. In her youth, she was an avid swimmer and ice skater. She attended Andrew's School for Girls, and in 1965, she graduated from Lorain High School.

In 1967, Linda met her future husband Richard at "The Hoop Restaurant" in Lorain. Richard was immediately smitten with her 1967 Camaro, but quickly fell for Linda, too. They were married May 25, 1968, and 44 years later, Richard was still by her side.

Linda loved spending time with her family and friends. For many years, she was a beautician, then later worked for Elyria City Schools. She endured more than 30 years with Multiple Sclerosis.

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to all of the caregivers in Linda's life, for their compassion and prayers. Special appreciation is extended to Dr. Ahmed Fawzy, Dr. Rolando Reyes, and Dr. Tessy Meridores.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake from 5 p.m - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012.
