1. Though the economy has yet to fully recover from the impact of the pandemic, opportunities are still out there including in the Avon-Avon Lake area and across greater Ohio. But local job opportunities are still out there, as businesses hire to address the demands of the new normal.

2. Do you enjoy singing? Are you looking for an outlet for your musical talents? Why not join the The Avon Lake Women’s Chorus? It is open to women (all ages) from all area communities. There are no auditions. Rehearsals are every Monday from 10-11:30 a.m. and resume Sept. 12 (through May) at the Old Firehouse Community Center, 100 Avon Belden Road. Under the direction of a professional choral director and an accomplished pianist, the programs feature holiday music, show tunes, old favorites, pop melodies, traditional, whimsical, gospel and rock ‘n’ roll. 3. Mark your calendars for the Avon Health and Safety Fair, which will be held on Saturday September 10 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Avon Aquatic Facility. The event will include a number of health and safety exhibits.
