Parents and caregivers of children are invited to attend Parent Cafes, a series of three evening conversations about the challenges and victories involved in raising a family.

The three sessions, open to any parent or caregiver, will be held virtually from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23, March 2 and March 9. The Parent Cafes are presented by Lorain County Community College Children’s Learning Center, LCCC’s Advocacy Resource Center (ARC) and the Child Care Resource Center.

“This is an opportunity for parents and other caregivers to be part of a meaningful, small group conversation guided by a trained parent-host,” said Michele Henes, director of LCCC’s Children’s Learning Center.

Topics like family relations, connections to others and taking care of yourself will be covered during the cafes.

“Parents can meet other parents and talk about things that matter most to them,” Henes said. “We’ll also have connections to other community resources for parents.”

To register for the cafes, call the LCCC Children’s Learning Center at (440) 366-4038. After registering, a link to the discussion sessions will be provided.

Additional Parent Cafes will be scheduled in the future.
