“Our campus and community will come together to reflect, heal and to honor the memory of the innocent people who died that day,” Ballinger said.

The remembrance display will include an arrangement of flags in the shape of a star to represent the 2,977 individuals who tragically lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001. An augmented reality feature is available via visitors’ smartphones and will project a semi-translucent image of the Twin Towers inside the display.

The remembrance display will be open to the public from Friday, Sept. 10 through Friday, Sept. 17.
