New Fundraiser To Benefit Lorain County Nonprofits

The crowdfunding campaign has set an ambitious goal in 2021: $250,000 to be shared by 65 nonprofits.

ELYRIA, OH — The 2nd Annual Connect to a Cause will launch Sept. 16.

The 12-hour crowdfunding campaign will rally community support for 65 Lorain County nonprofits. This year's fundraising goal is $250,000. The event is organized by the Community Foundation of Lorain County.

“Lorain County nonprofits serve some of our most vulnerable neighbors as our community continues to navigate the COVID-19 crisis and all the challenges that has come with it,” said Cynthia H. Andrews, president, and CEO of the Community Foundation. “We asked our community to give generously last year, and they answered the call. I have no doubt that this year, with 65 participating organizations, there is a cause that matters to every person in our community, that we will meet our goal.”
