No Whole Foods For Avon: What Now?

Take our poll! With Whole Foods off the table, what do you want to come to Avon?

With Wednesday's Plain Dealer story that Whole Foods will be building a new store in Rocky River, it looks like Avon's out of the running for a Whole Foods of its own for now.

Since the land on Chester Road just west of Jaycox Road and north of Interstate 90, owned by the Richard E. Jacobs Group, was cleared in early 2011, speculation of what's going on there has been popular discussion in Avon.

The Jacobs Group also developed Avon Crossing, where Lowes and JCPenney are located. The company, which is privately held, has not made any announcements as to what will be done with the Chester Road land.

A Whole Foods was one of the more popular speculations, as there are two on the east side of Cleveland and, before the Rocky River store is built, none on the west side.

Tell us what you'd like to go in the Chester Road land. Vote in our poll and share your ideas and concerns in the comments.
