The Joliet Slammers lived up to their name Thursday night, slamming four home runs to beat the , 8-2, in front of a crowd of 1,913 at .

This was the third straight loss for the Crushers (28-33).

Erik Lis, Bobby Leeper, Kyle Maunus and  Josh Flores homered for the Slammers (34-26).

Evan Sharpley hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning for the Crushers' only runs.

Paul Fagan (4-8, 4.25 earned run average) pitched five innings, giving up six runs on five hits, including three home runs. He struck out seven and walked one.
