Police Blotter: Trouble on Rosewood, Pregnant Woman on Drugs

The following arrest information was supplied by the Avon police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A man told Avon police that, while he was smoking outside his daughter’s home on Rosewood Blvd. the evening of June 27, three black men demanded $20 from him.

The man said that after he had given them the money, one of the men told him that if police were called again, the house would be “shot up.”

Police are investigating the possibility that it may be related to a drug deal gone bad around 10:00 p.m. June 26 a few homes away. The men involved that night were told by police not to return or they would face charges.

Sad

A pregnant woman who was high on crack was taken to St. John West Shore after the car she was riding in was pulled over on I-90 near the Westlake line around 2:22 a.m. on June 25.

She claimed the man had kidnapped her, but that she wasn’t afraid of him and wanted to go on to his sister’s home in Avon Lake. Instead, she was taken to the hospital and the man was dropped off at his sister’s home.

What a Scream

Someone in the 37500 block of French Creek Road called police around 8:44 p.m. June 27 when they heard what sounded like a young woman screaming in the neighborhood. Police checked it out and found out it was kids playing in a back yard pool.
