Possible Murder-Suicide In Avon Lake: Identities Of Dead Revealed

As investigation into a suspected murder-suicide continues, police announced the identities of the deceased on Wednesday.

AVON LAKE, OH — Police announced the identities of the four people found dead in a possible murder-suicide in Avon Lake on Tuesday.

Jeffrey Hull, 50, and Heidi Hull, 47, were found inside their English Turn Drive home, alongside their two children Garrett Hull, 9, and Grant Hull, 6. All four had been shot, police said.

Jeffrey and Heidi were married and Garrett and Grant were their children, according to Lt. Sean Bockelman.

The bodies of all four Hulls were found inside the house at 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers discovered the incident after being asked to check on the family.

The Lorain County Coroner's office and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are helping Avon Lake police with the investigation.

Avon Lake Schools Superintendent Bob Scott released a statement mourning the loss of two "wonderful students." He said both students attended Erieview Elementary.

"This tragedy defies our understanding, but our community is here for our students. Counselors will be on-site at Erieview in the morning for students and staff," Scott said.
