Post-Holiday Blahs: Moms Talk

Did you hear that thud?

That was reality hitting Tuesday as kids went back to school and adults got back to work and the everyday routine as the holiday season came to an end.

Avon students had a long two-week break. Did your kids get bored, or did all the holiday events, food and presents keep them distracted?

Are you or your children feeling out of sorts, tired or just plain blech? Welcome to the post-holiday letdown. After more than a month of shopping, decorating, baking, wrapping, cooking, traveling and visiting added to our agendas, we're back to the usual routine.

And plain old winter. Snow that would have had us humming "White Christmas" two weeks ago has us grumbling, "Bah! Humbug!" today.

Today, let's talk post-holiday blahs. How do you slide back into the regular daily grind? Are you finding yourself wishing for a few more days off, or are you glad all the excitement is over? Have you noticed your kids being more on-edge or cranky, or less now that everything's getting back to normal?
