Here are the top three stories in Avon-Avon Lake today:

1. On the lookout for a new place to live, or just interested in what's out there? 2. Avon and Avon Lake are to begin receiving settlement payments from opioid manufacturers. According to cleveland.com Avon will be receiving a total of $6,302 each year for 18 years for a total of $102,900.40 and Avon Lake, will be paid $5,731.16 each year totaling $103,160.88 for the 18-year duration of the payments. The companies settling with the states include Johnson & Johnson, AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health and McKesson. (cleveland.com)
3. Avon Lake residents got quite a treat recently when, according to cleveland.com, "rock star Anne E. DeChant took time out of her busy schedule to come back to her hometown to teach a songwriting class followed by a free outdoor concert at the Avon Lake Public Library. Dan Cotton, a page supervisor at the library was in charge of coordinating the event." (cleveland.com)
