1. The City of Avon Lake has received $1.2 million grant for a pedestrian safety project. The Ohio Department of Transportation will invest $51 million in new traffic safety improvement projects one of which is the pedestrian safety project in Avon Lake. It will improve safety along U.S. Route 6, also known as Lake Road, according to a news release. (The Morning Journal)
