Traffic complaint, March 14 — Police stopped a car on Moore Road for speeding. The driver had a suspended license and an active warrant for their arrest. They were taken into custody and transferred to Elyria Police.

Fraud, March 16 — An older Avon Lake resident gave a scammer $8,500 in gift cards. The resident read the card numbers over the phone, according to police reports.
Animal complaint, March 16 — Two dogs escaped their property and bit a neighbor's dog. The owner was cited by police.

Traffic complaint, March 17 — Police stopped a car on Avon Belden Road for speeding. The driver was also cited for having a suspended license.
OVI, March 18 — Police spotted a car parked at the Avon Belden-Walker roads intersection. When officers investigated, they found the driver asleep behind the wheel. Officers field tested the driver and then took him into custody on suspicion of operating a vehicle impaired.
