The head of the costume of mascot Stomper was returned to the team Thursday after word leaked out of its disappearance.
Stomper's head was discovered by team employees Thursday at , the team announced Thursday afternoon. A team representative posted on the Crushers Facebook page that the head appeared to have been left while no one was at the stadium.
The head reportedly went missing in August. The Crushers didn't publicly acknowledge the disappearance until this week, instead telling fans in the final weeks of the season that Stomper had gone on a tour of Frontier League stadiums.
