Support Chris Cook for Judge: Letter
Reader says candidate is experienced and qualified

To the Editor:
On March 6, Democrats will vote for the successor to retiring Lorain County Common Pleas Court, General Division, Judge Edward Zaleski. There are two candidates for this seat, Chris Cook and John Miraldi. It is noteworthy that both candidates are running for the first time. Chris Cook, however, is the candidate who possesses the experience needed for the job!
The general division of the Lorain County Common Pleas Court has original jurisdiction in all criminal felony cases, all civil cases in which the amount of controversy is more than $15,000 and all cases involving title to real estate – except for eviction matters. The general division also has appellate jurisdiction over decisions of some state administrative agencies and of city agencies. The election of a judge for the general division is not to be taken lightly.

Chris Cook has the experience needed to be the next Judge. He is “highly recommended” by the Lorain County Bar Association. He has handled many criminal cases and has served as assistant Lorain County Prosecutor. Chris Cook is currently the Sheffield Village Prosecutor and Magistrate for the Lorain Municipal Court. e has also served as a visiting Judge. Chris Cook has the experience needed. John Miraldi does not I am voting for the most experienced candidate. Please join me in voting for Chris Cook as Judge for Lorain County Common Pleas Court.
