Crushers get shutout win

Thomas Campbell, Travis Risser, Robert Wendzicki, and Ruben Flores combined to pitch a four-hit shutout as the snapped a four-game losing streak with a 7-0 win over the Washington Wild Things Saturday night in front of a crowd of 3,019 at .

Campbell (1-0, 1.92 earned run average) pitched six innings and struck out 10, the team reported, and was credited with the win.

Patrick Norris had a two-run double in the sixth to help lead the Crushers offense. Jereme Milons and Kellen Kulbacki each had two hits and an RBI. Jodam Rivera had two hits.

The Crushers (29-34) take on the Wild Things at 5:05 p.m. Sunday. It's Christmas in July at the ballpark, with Christmas music and entertainment, a possible visit from Santa Claus, and a Toys for Tots toy drive. Josh Roberts (6-4, 4.26) is slated to start for the Crushers.
