Three in Crushers Organization Receive Awards

Kountis is Reliever of the Year

Three members of the organization have received post season awards in the Frontier League.

Relief Pitcher Jonathan Kountis was named the Reliever of the Year, posting a 0.95 ERA in 38 appearances. The right-handed pitcher from Akron compiled a record of 5-2 while collecting 18 saves and striking out 64 batters to only 19 walks in 56.2 IP.

Andy “Bull” Barch, the voice of the Crushers, was also named Broadcaster of the Year.

Clubhouse Manager Ryan Maxwell was named “Clubbie” of the Year to round out the postseason awards for the Crushers.

The Lake Erie Crushers, the 2009 Frontier League Champions, and 2011 Frontier League Organization of the year, play ball at a 5,000-capacity stadium located in Avon.
