🌱Vendor Game Night Sounds Like Fun! + Looking For A New Home?

Here are the top three stories in Avon-Avon Lake today:

2. Improvements to be made at the Walker/Armour roads and Lear Road/Creekside Drive intersections will include, the city of Avon Lake working in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), to install high visibility crosswalks and rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) to increase pedestrian safety. Curb ramps that do not meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and adjacent sidewalks, will also be replaced to make the intersections safer. According to Cleveland.com, "Construction is slated to begin next summer (June) with an estimated cost of $140,000 paid by the city and ODOT (safety funds)." (cleveland.com)
3. On Thursday, August 25 the Avon Garden Club will sponsoring an outdoor (weather permitting) Vendor Game Night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Klingshirn Winery, 33050 Webber Road, Avon Lake. According to Cleveland.com, "the event will be a fun-filled night of shopping, games and wine with 16 local vendors supplying game prizes. There is a $20 donation per attendee. All proceeds benefit local non-profits including the Avon Garden Club, Avon Lake High School PTA, Parrot Hope Rescue, and University Hospitals EMC Auxiliary. Vendors include SassyFace T-shirts, Scentsy, ColorStreet Nails, Dog Treats by Kathy, Spk Esy Soaps and Bath Fizzes, Purses by Shandango, Finally Home Crafts, Homemade Candles & Melts, Art & Soul by Margo, Pampered Chef, Cheese Boards & Wine Tumblers, Confetti Biscotti, Cards by Suzie, Avon Thirty-One, Tastefully Simple, and LuLaRoe."
