You Said It: Avon High Football Gets Playoff Win

football team had much to celebrate Friday night.

The Eagles (10-1) won their playoff opener, defeating eighth-seeded Highland, 45-24, at Avon Stadium at . Top seeded Avon bounced back after last week's last-minute 25-21 loss to Lake Catholic. 

This win also allows the team to move on from last year's early playoff exit, when the Eagles lost to eighth-seeded Sandusky in the first round.

Avon advances to play Toledo Central Catholic, which beat Olmsted Falls, 48-19, at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at a site to be announced.
