• Bath Football Coach Leaves To Take Over Batavia Program (statelinesportsnetwork.net) — Batavia High School has hired Frank Russell as the new head football coach, taking over the Bulldogs after Wayne Stacy’s four-year tenure. Russell comes from Lima Bath, where he led the Wildcats to three straight playoff appearances and their best season since 1999, and he’s expected to bring a culture-focused, developmental approach to Batavia’s 4-6 program.
   

• Donor of the Week: Thomas Klaine (local12.com) — A longtime Batavia resident is being recognized for nearly 40 years of regular blood donations that help patients at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He says he keeps giving because there’s always a need, especially for plasma and platelets, and encourages others to schedule appointments through Hoxworth’s phone line, website, or app to support kids who rely on lifesaving transfusions.
