Back to School Checklist: 5 Things You Can Do This Week

School begins Aug. 28 in Beachwood, but there's plenty of things that need to be done ahead of time.

1. Mark your personal calendar -- the first day of school is Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013. 

2. Avoid the rush and make a doctor's appointment today to update your child's immunizations. Details on what's due when are on the district's school attendance immunization form. 

3. Get started shopping for back to school supplies before those great deals sell out. Check Patch's Back to School page or the school district's back to school page for details. 

4. Fill out the Beachwood Schools bus survey by Aug. 1 to help the district improve bus service. 

5. Consider supporting the Beachwood Community PTO by placing an ad in their school calendar. The ads are due by July 31.
