Beachwood Food Delivery Program Recognized By Federal Government
President Joe Biden's COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force singled out the Beachwood Delivers program for praise.
BEACHWOOD, OH — The Beachwood Delivers fee-free delivery service has been recognized by the White House and within the pages of the president's COVID-19 Health Equity Task Force: Final Report and Recommendations.
The program saved restaurants and residents more than $60,000, according to city officials. It is now one of nine programs being highlighted in the task force's Final Report, which includes recommendations for how to better handle the COVID-19 pandemic while protecting vulnerable groups and businesses.
Between Dec. 21 and March 31, the program was responsible for delivering more than $75,000 in orders. The program was extended twice by Beachwood because of its popularity.
