Beachwood High Football Nominated For Browns Game Of The Week

BEACHWOOD, OH — The Beachwood Bison football team could soon find itself competing for a special award from the Cleveland Browns.

Beachwood's game against Hawken on Friday is nominated for Cleveland Browns High School Football Game of the Week. If the game is selected, the Browns will cover the game on their website and social media and the winning team will receive $2,500 for its football program. Fans can vote for their school to be picked online.

The Bison have struggled so far this season on the gridiron, grinding to a 1-3 record on the year. Hopefully things are turning around though, since Beachwood notched its first win of the season last week, beating St. John High 26-12.

Beachwood's upcoming opponent is Hawken High, who are currently ranked No. 9 in their region. The team is 4-2 on the season. The game will be played in Beachwood on Friday. Kick-off is at 7 p.m.
