Beachwood High Wrestling Coach Drowns In South Carolina
Assistant wrestling coach Marzell Pink died while on vacation in Myrtle Beach.
BEACHWOOD, OH — A former Beachwood Schools coach drowned while on vacation in Myrtle Beach on Wednesday.
Marzell Pink, 49, was visiting South Carolina with his family when he drowned on Wednesday, WKYC reported.
Pink was a longtime Cleveland Schools employee, spending nearly three decades with the district, primarily as a strength and powerlifting coach. He was also an assistant wrestling and strength coach at Beachwood High.

"As a staff and as a community we will support the Pink family and we will help one another," Beachwood Superintendent Robert Hardis said in a statement.
Pink is survived by his wife and two children. Details on his funeral have not yet been announced. However, a GoFundMe has been created to help his family cover funeral expenses.
