Beachwood Investor Moves Makers of Mace To Cleveland
Mace's CEO, John McCann of Cleveland Heights, plans to turn the company into a $100 million brand.

The makers of the brand name pepper spray, Mace, are planning to move the company to midtown Cleveland in August, The Plain Dealer reported.
Mace's Chairman and the chairman of Beachwood-based Ancora Group, Richard Barone, told The Plain Dealer that he plans to turn the brand around. Ancora owns 40 percent of Mace's stock. Much work has already been done to shed irrelevant investments and business lines.
Mace's new CEO, John McCann of Cleveland Heights, was hired in Dec. 2011, according to Horsham Patch in PA, where the company was headquartered.

The company plans to move into the office on Euclid Avenue in Cleveland in August and will employ about 50 people.
