Beachwood Saw Substantial Growth Over Past Decade: Census
New data suggests the city added more than 2,000 residents between 2010 and 2020.
BEACHWOOD, OH — Beachwood added more than 2,000 residents over the past decade, according to the U.S. Census.
Newly released census data said Beachwood added 2,087 residents between 2010 and 2020. That's a growth rate of 17.46 percent, one of the highest rates in Ohio.
“Month after month, more people are searching online for variations on ‘places to live in Beachwood’ than any other search request regarding our city. Whether attracted to our city due to its diversity, proximity to medical, financial, and business opportunities, top-quality schools, excellent city services, or a combination of the above, we are happy to welcome these new
residents.” Mayor Martin Horwitz said. “We’ll look forward to celebrating many of them in decades to come at our annual 50-Year Resident Salute.”

City officials cited two newly built apartment buildings, The Vue and The Aster, renovation at The Vantage, Beachwood Apartments by Albion, and others for creating attractive apartment homes for new residents.
