Beachwood Students Named Maltz Essay Semi-Finalists
Two Beachwood seniors finished in the Top 25 of the "Stop The Hate" essay contest.

While they didn't make it into the final round, two Beachwood High School seniors were named semi-finalists in a local essay contest.
Jessica Gill and Jori Holloway are both semi-finalists in the fifth annual Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage Stop the Hate: Youth Speak Out! essay contest, according to a press release.
Gill and Holloway were among 25 students from around the area to be semi-finalists.

The Top 10 finalists were named and will compete for a total of $100,000 in scholarships and prizes.
Their essays address a variety of issues, from living with alopecia, mental illness to LGBT issues and economic diversity and offer heartfelt and innovative solutions.
