Bison Girls Track Shines at State Indoor Meet

Beachwood placed in three different events at the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches' State Indoor Track Meet on Saturday.

The Beachwood Bison girls track team fared pretty well last weekend at the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches’ State Indoor Track Meet in Akron.

The 4X400 meter relay team of Hannah Richardson, EmilyKate Hopson-Boyd, Alexandria Devaughn and Gabby Perryman placed second, with a time of 4:09, just behind Girard.

The 4X200 meter relay team included both Perryman and Devaughn with Jaelyn Pounds and Hannah Kahn, finishing in third place with a time of 1:48, a season-best.

Hopson-Boyd also competed in the 800-meter run, finishing seventh with a time of 2:24. 

"We’re excited about the possibilities and the girls are really excited about keeping this going," Head Coach Willie Smith said in a press release.

The team has already started practice for the upcoming outdoor season.
