Cancer Etiquette, Bubble Bouncing and Jewish Food Festival: This Week in Beachwood

From the Maltz Museum to the Beachwood Aquatic Center, check out these 5 things to do in Beachwood this week.

1. There are many ways to support a friend with a recent cancer diagnosis. Learn the ways from the experts at The Gathering Place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5 at the free Cancer Etiquette program. 

2. Ever see a bubble bounce? The Bubble Lady will be performing at the Beachwood Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5. Registration is required. 

3. Yvonne Pointer, an author and advocate for missing children, will share her heartbreaking story about her own daughter's murder during the Kabbalat Shabbat service at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9 at the Fairmount Temple.

4. The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage will host the annual Jewish Food and Culture Festival, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11. Enjoy brisket sliders, Israeli salad and live entertainment. Admission is $10, for more details see the museum's website. 

5. The summer Tuesday night concert series at Beachwood Family Aquatic Center continues this week at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 6 featuring Old Kids, performing classic rock. For any last minute changes or more details see the Beachwood City Hall web site.
